ABOUT
I am a designer/maker specialising in stained and fused glass. I create bespoke, functional and decorative homeware as well as contemporary glass art pieces.
I also teach a variety of glass-working techniques across the Southwest, check out the workshop page for upcoming coures, and welcome opportunities to work to commission.
Having my first experience of glass in an evening class at my local art center in Darlington led me to catch the glass bug and I have never looked back. I decided to pursue glass further at university, and gained a degree in Glass and Ceramics from Sunderland University, based at the fantastic National Glass Centre. Three years surrounded by world renowned tutors and first class equipment cemented my passion for glass and equipped me with the technical knowledge to pursue it as a career.
After graduation, Simon Alderson Glass was established as a means of continuing an exploration into the exciting and demanding liquid medium.
