These birds are made using a combination of hand painted detail and fine frit work, building up layers of colour on a base of clear.

Frit is crushed up glass, and comes in a variety of sizes.
He's fired in a kiln up to 765 degrees to melt all the pieces together,

mounted into an oak base.
