This chubby Kingfisher has been created by layering crushed up glass frit in various sizes with some painted details, and kiln fired. He's then set in an oak base
Layering frit allows you to achieve a lovely depth of colour he has a lovely fuzzy finish!
 
He was designed to be looking left but due to the nature of glass can be viewed either way.
 
Oak base is 5cm sq.
final dimensions 16cm high,  12cm width (beak to tail) 5cm depth( glass 3mm)
