This collection of larger fused glass birds was first shown at my solo exhibition at Prema Arts in Uley, most of which sold out! I will continue to add unique larger birds to the collection.
Each bird starts life as a sketch, which I translate into glass through a combination of traditional glass painting skills and layering up frit, which is finely ground glass, in powder, fine and medium. the final bird is then mounted in a specially selected piece of wood.
The very first items is this collection were mounted in found wood from the garden during the great lock down of 2020, but now I have to go a little further for the wood.
